Wireless access to networks in not an emerging technology anymore - customers and employees expect it. A wireless networking solution provides an entirely new level of flexibility and mobility, by enabling users to access network devices and resources that are inaccessible via cabling. Increasingly, good wireless solutions are more a question of “optimization” rather than adequacy. Improperly designed wireless networks, burdened with excessive overhead, can suffer degraded or often inadequate performance - realizing only a fraction of their true potential. Avacorp optimized wireless networking solutions deliver maximum bandwidth and incorporate the industry’s strongest security and encryption standards insuring speedy, safe, and secure operation over any distance required.

Wireless Survey
The first step in designing an effective wireless solution is to conduct a survey of your premises (or geographic area) to assess the effects of RF reflection, refraction, and diffusion to determine coverage considerations, backhaul requirements (if necessary) access point locations, and security requirements. Then our engineers will diagram a coverage map painstakingly shaped to maximize coverage, facilitate asset tracking (if required) and minimize potential security risks.
WiFi
WiFi access points or “hotspots” are ideal for local 802.11(a,b,g, or n) wireless networking where bandwidth limits of 7MBs (10MBs minus overhead) are sufficient. WiFi access points can stand alone for coverages up to 150 ft. or can be “bridged” together to form “mesh” coverage areas. In addition to wireless network access, if installed properly, WiFi meshes can also serve as the “umbrella” for asset tracking systems allowing security or logistics personnel to pinpoint the location of any connected device or RFID tag. Avacorp engineers are experts in designing “enterprise class” wireless networks and shaping WiFi mesh arrays.
Contrary to folk wisdom, if installed properly WiFi can be extremely secure. Avacorp utilizes the latest security techniques to “harden” wireless networks from attack. We use “overlapping” techniques such as limiting MAC addresses, limiting available IP addresses, employing Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), mesh shaping, and RF shielding to minimize any potential risk. In extreme situations, we can implement Smart cards, USB tokens, and software tokens to make your wireless network all by impregnable.
WiMAX
WiMAX is a technology for providing high-speed (up to 30MB/s), long-range (up to apx. 23 Miles) broadband wireless distribution and backhauls to metropolitan and rural markets, ideal for supporting data, voice, and video applications. Avacorp offers a family of low-cost, base stations and subscriber units, making this technology affordable for a wide range of applications — local, rural, or metropolitan. High bandwidth and long transmission distance of WiMax make it an ideal solution for remote video surveillance cameras or backhaul connections to remote facilities where a wired solutions is impractical. In backhaul applications, WiMAX “point of presents” (POP) nodes can be integrated with WiFi access points or mesh umbrellas to extend wireless coverage over virtually any size area.
WiFi Mesh
A wireless mesh network (WMN) is a communications network made up of radio nodes organized in a mesh topology. Wireless mesh networks often consist of mesh clients, mesh routers and gateways. The mesh clients are often laptops, cell phones and other wireless devices while the mesh routers forward traffic to and from the gateways which connect to the Internet. The coverage area of the radio nodes working as a single network is sometimes called a mesh cloud.Avacorp engineers can design secure WiFi mesh networks covering any size area.
Trade Show Wireless Services
Avacorp offers a full range of wireless services tailored to the needs of trade show promoters and large exhibit halls. We are expert providers of secure, shaped, wireless access services for both exhibitors and attendees. We also provide wireless services for digital signage, video surveillance and security systems.
We Get It Right… the First Time
Designing and Installing functional and secure “enterprise-class” wireless networks is an an art and a science, requiring years of experience to master. Unfortunately, and probably due to the proliferation of consumer grade WiFi equipment, many companies initially go the “cheap” route with non-licensed and uncertified “budget” providers only to discover later that coverage and security are completely inadequate. Inevitably, coverage and security will always be weakest in exactly the spot where the visiting CEO will choose to sit and check his email. We upgrade and repair these “cheap” networks everyday, often at greater expense than a proper installation would have cost initially. Why not get it right the first time and eliminate the aggravation? Avacorp has installed hundreds of wireless networks for the most demanding clients in both government and industry.
Industry Partner - Proxim Wireless
Proxim's ORiNOCO® wireless LANs have led the industry in providing organizations worldwide with enterprise-class wireless networks with the highest reliability, security, upgradeability, flexibility and manageability. ORiNOCO solutions can deploy any combination of Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n), and with Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2) authentication and encryption, rogue AP detection and 802.11i readiness, ORiNOCO helps ensure your organization’s wireless network and data transmissions stay protected.
ORiNOCO Wi-Fi client products and access points enable seamless mobility and increased productivity for organizations of any size, worldwide. With ample capacity to handle the growing demands of integrated data, voice, video and mobility, ORiNOCO products provide effortless wireless connectivity to laptop, desktop and handheld users within office buildings, schools and campuses, hospitals, warehouses, public hot spots and more. And with the ORiNOCO 802.11n product line, organizations can finally cut the cord and enable the completely wireless enterprise – with performance greater than existing wired LANs, at half the price of existing WLANs.
Proxim's mesh technology enables municipal and service provider network managers to simplify Wi-Fi deployment for their broadband citywide and public safety networks. The ORiNOCO Mesh Creation Protocol (OMCP) allows creation of self-forming and self-healing non-line of sight (NLOS) mesh networks. Differentiating characteristics of Proxim's mesh products include: a dual-radio configuration, increasing system capacity by allowing one radio to focus on Wi-Fi access and the other radio to perform mesh backhaul duties; Quality of Service (QoS) enabling voice and video capability; and enterprise-class security features. If a mesh link becomes obstructed, client traffic is dynamically re-routed, ensuring uninterrupted video streams and voice calls.
